Gene Simmons Axe Guitar Reviews
Love the Axe!![]()
I purchase the Axe Guitar for my 10 year old daughter and she loves it. The only issue that she has with it is that it is a left handed instrument. She has mastered her regular Rock Band guitar but upon recieveing this, she has to start over to learn to play in the opposite way that she is used to. Not a big issue though, I told her to be ambidextrous is a good thing.
Cool looking guitar, BUT many flaws![]()
I bought this guitar for the looks and also for the size i like the buttons smaller than the stock guitars for GH games. This product was sharp and worked great for a few minutes until i tried using the whammy, NO response also the lower buttons did not work well. It connected great so i decided to use it for the Bass guitar but after only three uses the entire controller stopped working. After changing batteries and retrying many times the controller connected but no response from buttons during play. It looks great collecting dust but not worth the price
Quality guitar![]()
the guitar is well built. it has some weight to it so it doesnt feel flimsy. I think the buttons are the best i have tried(rockband and ace flying v as comparisons) the buttons are curved and the part of the button closest to the edge of the fingerboard are tapered so it takes very little effort to press. the strum lever is not noisey like some other clickers if have seen and more importantly heard.
Minuses- i dont care for the position of the whammy bar and i prefer a toggle effects switch in place of the slide switch-and it isnt very useful in the place they put it
aside from that? This is a quality instrument that is priced a tad high but made up for in its quality.
