The Performer’s exceptionally-durable construction includes a rust-resistant, porcelain-enameled steel bowl and lid. Heavy-duty, hinged grates made from plated steel offer easy access to the classic kettle-shaped bowl when it’s time to add briquets to the fire. A dual-purpose thermometer allows cooks to monitor the temperature inside the grill, then removes to test meat for doneness. A Tuck-Away holder holds the lid conveniently out of the way plus provides a windscreen for lighting. Rugged, weather-resistant wheels are crack-proof in the most extreme temperatures and allow easy transport, while locking casters prevent the grill from rolling while you cook. Rust-free aluminum vents adjust to provide perfect airflow in changing conditions. An integrated storage container keeps up to 20 pounds of charcoal dry and within reach, and the granite-look Thermoset work surface provides a handy place to store marinades and sauces while you cook.
Also included are welded steel charcoal fuel holders that facilitate cooking with direct or indirect heat as well as a five-pound liquid propane tank. Green Grill
This grill is great. One push of a button and it lights the charcoal with ease. Love all the features. Not much more I can say that hasn’t already been said by others. Already have a gas stove/oven/broiler in the kitchen, so didn’t see the point of getting redundancy for the backyard, so decided on a charcoal grill over a gas one. This has me covered, can use my own mesquite chips on the charcoal for additional smoke flavoring, and the overall design and usefulness of this puppy is better than anticipated. One caution, the construction instructions are photos only… and not very clear. I actually found the Spanish instruction book to be more clear as for some reason that booklet is better quality stock with clearer pictures than the English booklet.
Another Weber Classic
Weber continues to put out great products, and this one is no different. I bulked at first at the price, but gave in to my awe of this grill. The performance is typical Weber – wonderful. Cooks great, plenty of room. Having the table and storage for charcoal is just amazing. Finally, the ability to push a button and light the grill with ease like you would a gas grill, yet still have charcoal is heaven. This grill would be worth the money at twice the cost.
ex propane griller
I decided to go back to charcoal after many years using propane and I am glad I did. This grille works great. The best feature is the gas starter. No more lighter fluid and throwing matches in the fire! This weber was easy to put together and very convenient to use. Also, Weber’s customer service is excellent as well.(a piece was missing from the box but Weber sent it right out to me) If you want a really nice charcoal grolle, this is the one to get.
