Good product![]()
These bags are a good size and of high quality. My only concern is that they are made in Norway, which is not exactly environmentally friendly.
Great BioBags, 3-gallon bags very handy for compost bucket![]()
These bags are a perfect complement to the compost bucket that I also purchased via amazon. I have left them in the bucket for as long as it takes to fill it with food scraps and have not noticed the bag beginning to break down prior to it becoming full. I’m finally using my big composter now that I have these handy little bags. They are stronger than expected. The only reason they lost one star was for the price, but I imagine it’s a competitive price, so don’t let it stop you. If you can find them in a store somewhere, that would be the ideal way to purchase them; the shipping is what doubled the price for me.
For someone who is just getting started with composting, I would highly recommend a kitchen compost pail (not the plastic pail though), these 3-gallon bags, and a decent outdoor composting bin. It makes the entire process much easier and more straight-forward for someone who’s never done this before.
I like it!![]()
I have been using these bags for 6 months now and I like them. I use them in my trash can with an automatic lid and it works fine as there is a “ring” that I hook the bag to and it stays put. I find the bag does have a little stretch to to it when hand tying the bag. The cons are that it is dosn’t have a drawstring, handles, or even wire ties to make it easier to tie up the bag for diaposal. But I find it easy just to plain old hand tie it myself. The key is not to overfill the bag before taking it out to the dump. I recycle, so the trashbag can handle most of the leftover items that are not recyclable.
I have tried the competitor and was disappointed as it touted itself as biodegradable. But if you read the fine print it is actually a #4 recyclable which will leech toxins when/if it biodegrades in the landfill unlike the Biobag.
