MP3 in your car Cables To Go Port Authority 24
Bought to listen to MP3 library in my car. Easy to hook up and sounds fine. The only issue I had was that many of the 12 FM frequencies available were to close to station and bled over. Fortunate one isn’t and works fine.

Muddy3
This product works OK, but the sound is muddy. The problem could be that I have a 2003 Honda Civic with the antenna in the rear window, so it’s a long way from the transmitter to the antenna. I thought this would not be a problem when I read another review that said the writer could receive a signal several blocks away on a portable radio. Oh, well–it was cheap because I got a discount for applying for the credit card.

Another thing: The power plug is so tight that I’m pulling my dashboard apart when I try to remove the unit. I am also afraid that I’ll pull the unit apart if the dash doesn’t come out. I’m going to buy a splitter so I can also power my mp3 player at the same time I’m saving my dash. I’ll also put a little wax or silicone on the plug. Maybe that will help.

Good value for the price4
I bought this unit four months ago and it has been pretty good. I live in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area and get quite a bit of signal interference. That said, I feel that overall the unit is a good value (especially for the price) when you consider the other options, such as replacing the car stereo. When there is no interference, the quality of the sound is very good.

However, the mounting bracket is clumsy; due to the location of my cigarette lighter port, I cannot put my vehicle in “Park” when the thing is plugged in. So I have been using rechargeable AAA batteries to power the unit, and this has worked well.

Unfortunately, the unit has started to work intermittently after only four months; it appears to be a loose contact in the connector between the Adapter and the cable. Cables-To-Go has a 1-year replacement warranty and just replaced the unit for me. Their returns process was easy and painless.
