Concentrate heat around microwaved food and keep it moist with this transparent, high-domed plastic cover. Because it protects against splattering, it’s a useful accessory for Nordic Ware’s two-sided round microwave bacon/meat grill. The cover fits dinner plates up to 11 inches in diameter. It also enables two plates of food to be cooked or warmed in a microwave at once: cover one and stack the second atop the cover. The cover is virtually unbreakable and is safe in the freezer and dishwasher.

Time saver and improves flavor
We lived in Europe for many years and had a dish cover similar to this. After many years of use, we needed a replacement.

When I received this, I was pleasantly surprised. One can see clearly through this and it fits standard dinner plates beautifully.

If you are still using plastic wrap, wax paper, or paper towels to cover your cooking / reheating items, then you are truly doing things the hard way!

If you are not covering your microwave cooking / reheating at all, then you just LOVE CLEANING NASTY MESSES!

I was so impressed, I bought one for each of my sisters-in-law, my parents, and my single brother. They are still talking about the greatest, and most useful Christmas present 6 months later!

Perfect, better than expected
Based on the reviews here I expected these covers to be lower, but they are IMO actually quite high and allow more than sufficient space for food on a plate underneath (these are PLATE covers). I realized when I used mine for the first time that the circumference of the bottom rim is just ever-so-slightly smaller than my microwave turntable — how perfect is that? I have a “GE Profile Spacemaker II PEM31SMSS Stainless Steel Microwave Oven”, which is smaller than standard microwaves.

I bought two so that while one is in the dishwasher we still can use the spare. I purchased these because my husband kept trying to re-heat food without any cover at all, unless he saw I was watching. We used to use paper towels until we learned the dangers of the metallic particles in them. So the only alternative until now was plastic wrap, but honestly, I’m not sure plastic wrap is completely safe. Since we’ve received these covers, my husband reaches for them every time. He’s very pleased with how much easier they are to use than the !$%&*@# plastic wrap box he always struggled with before.

Both of mine came with faint scratches — I’m not sure whether that happened at the Amazon warehouse or whether this is inherent in all of them. But they do the job they are intended to do and clean up well in the dishwasher.
